🌱 2021

  • Green Balewadi Mission – Launched tree plantation drive; 1,200+ trees planted, ~850–900 survived with PMC Garden Department support.

 

💧 2022

  • Water Scarcity Campaign – Borewells dried, societies spent up to ₹6 lakh/month on tankers.

  • Awareness Drives – Highlighted inequity of tanker dependency and pressed PMC for 24×7 water scheme implementation.

  • Green Balewadi Expansion – Continued plantation drives to strengthen ecological buffers.

 

2023

  • Mass Protest (June 24) – 100 housing societies demanded water supply and civic amenities.

  • Recognition (July) – Media acknowledged BWF as an influential body representing large number of  societies.

 

📰 2024

  • Launch of The Balewadi Tribune – Biannual tabloid guiding citizens on FIR filing, deemed conveyance, and civic rights.

  • Citizens Award 2024 (Feb) – Honored local heroes during Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti celebrations, themed “Shakti and Bhakti.”

  • Ram Mula Devrai (Sacred Grove Forest) MoEFCC & Forest Department Matter: Presented a strong representation to the Pune Forest Division to save biodiverse riparian old‑growth forest from River Front Development Project.. This 8 hectare sacred grove is not just a heritage green space, but a living ecosystem that safeguards air, water, and community well‑being.

  • Substation Land Secured – Approval for a 220 kV substation to ease overloaded electricity supply.

  • Water Storage Tank (Nov) – Minister Chandrakant Patil sanctioned 18 crore litres capacity tank for Baner-Balewadi.

 

🛠️ 2025

  • Meeting with MP Murlidhar Mohol (Oct) – Delegation presented demands on roads, traffic, power supply, and completion of Balewadi High Street–Wakad Kaspate Vasti Road.

  • Security Concerns (June) – Called for police action after assault on a security guard; initiated citizen-police dialogue.

  • Petrol Pump Demand (Mar) – Urged PMC to establish a petrol pump within Balewadi.

  • Pipeline Replacement Campaign (Feb) – Pressed civic officials for inspections and replacement of ageing pipelines.

  • Green Balewadi Continuation – Tree plantation drives expanded, sustaining urban greening.

  • Wine Shop Removal (Dec) – Petitioned District Collector to close liquor shop near Dasara Chowk.

 

🌍 2026

  • PMC Election Deliverables  2026-31(Jan) – Released citizen-centric agenda for Prabhag 9 (2026–31) under slogan “One Balewadi, One Voice. Accountability, Action, Progress.” BWF shared this with all candidates of Prabhag 9.

  • Air Pollution Representation (Feb) – Submitted formal representation to PMC Commissioner, invoking Article 21 (Right to Life). Demanded AQI monitoring, dust suppression, mechanized cleaning, green buffers, and enforcement against waste burning in Balewadi. After BWF detailed representation PMC acknowledged air pollution crisis in Pune, and announced scientific plan to tackle AQI issues and create a task force.

  • Wine Shop Campaign Ongoing (Jan) – Representation given to the District Magistrate and Excise department. Housing Societies were promised removal/shifting of wine shop at Mamta Chowk, near three schools.
